Emily Danielle Carey was born on November 8th in 1995 and struggled to survive with complications. She had trouble breathing on her own and was hooked up to a monitor for six months until she was out of the woods. She ate very little in the beginning and it was a struggle for the first year. Now at 11 years of age she can hold  a long note and eating is one of her favorite pastimes, together with singing, playing piano, dancing, drawing, and reading. She also has been taking piano lessons for 5 years.

One of Emily’s favorite activities since kindergarten has been AWANA at church. There she learned about God’s Word and the Lamb of God Jesus Christ. She was saved at the age of ten and baptized soon thereafter.  She began singing in church in her children’s choir and on 5th Sunday singings, singing her first solo at age 9.  Emily has come to love singing Gospel music and realizes how it touches people’s hearts and helps to spread the Word of God.
